About the role
Located in Waimea, Kauaʻi Island, this position requires a valid Hawaii Nursing License. Essential to quality resident care, the LPN/RN will assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living (ADLs), administer medications, train and supervise staff, and ensure care according to resident treatment and service plans.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Environmental orientation and assistance or administration with medication
- Treatments and other care while encouraging self-care and independence
- Train staff and report to the director of nursing
- Ensure care as indicated on resident treatment and service plans
- Follow infection control and safety procedures
- Review, update, and communicate resident care documentation
- Evaluate health emergencies to determine medical measures per RN scope of practice and state regulations
- Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
Requirements
You currently possess a current LPN or RN license in good standing. Typical candidates have 1-year of providing supervision in healthcare. New grads are encouraged to apply!
