Nurse - LPN or RN

Requirements

• A current license as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of PA.
• One year of experience as a nurse preferred.
• Genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• A current and valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.

Skills

Nursing skills, including but not limited to:

• Completing clinical assessments.

About the Role

Merakey is seeking a Nurse who will make an impact on the lives of adults living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The nurse will work on the AVS campus with 5 residential buildings and 6 group homes, supporting 107 residents. The responsibilities include providing direct nursing care, completing clinical assessments, administering medications, acute medical emergent conditions, providing enteral feedings, respiratory treatments, and care.

Program Description

Merakey AVS is a non-profit organization that provides homes and a full range of services to adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the individuals served have severe or profound IDD and often require supports for challenging behaviors due to multiple physical disabilities and extensive medical complications.

Position Description

The nurse will work on the AVS campus with 5 residential buildings and 6 group homes, supporting 107 residents. The nurse will provide direct nursing care by completing clinical assessments, administering medications, acute medical emergent conditions, providing enteral feedings, respiratory treatments, and care.

Schedule

F/S/S 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Pay

Base Pay: Standard base rate of $38.00 per hour for RN or $29.00 per hour for LPN. Optional Enhanced Pay: + $2.00 per hour for full-time employees opting out of our primary medical/dental/vision plans.
