Nurse, LPN/LVN, PRN, Day AND Night Shift
About the role
Covenant Living, the nation’s sixth-largest nonprofit senior living provider, is seeking qualified candidates for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPNs/LVNs). This position ensures quality care is delivered through monitoring staff performance, physician contact, care planning, and daily resident observation. It also provides direct care to residents, adhering to nursing standards, procedures, and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in routine daily direction and monitor the work of nursing assistants, ensuring a high standard of nursing care and task completion.
- Aid in the orientation of new LPN/LVNs and nursing assistants, reinforcing training standards to maintain high-quality care.
- Provide explanations of nursing procedures and assist staff in understanding and training.
- Communicate regularly with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing about observations, suggestions, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, conditions, etc.
- Observe and evaluate residents' health, mental, and emotional conditions, communicating significant changes to appropriate staff.
- Notify physicians and family members as necessary according to prescribed procedures.
- Provide direct patient care as required, including procedures such as catheter placement and care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, naso-gastric tubes, and other treatments.
- Participate in shift reports to ensure proper information about residents is communicated.
- Assist in the admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, ensuring physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc., are transcribed and communicated according to procedure.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
- Current license, in good standing, as an LPN/LVN in the State.
- One year nursing experience.
- Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.

Pay
The compensation range for this position is $29.13 - $40.52 per hour. For full-time employees, we offer a generous benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, employer-paid group term life and disability, paid time off, and a 403(b) with a 3% employer match. Schedule
