Nurse - LPN

About the Role

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position in an outpatient addiction recovery setting, providing direct patient care and supporting treatment programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic medical services, administer medications (e.g., Methadone, Suboxone), and ensure safe medication delivery according to regulations.
• Conduct assessments for new, quarterly, and annual patients, and respond to medical emergencies.
• Document patient records, medication transactions, and progress notes accurately.
• Educate patients on medications, side effects, and health topics; conduct urine drug screens and tests.
• Monitor patient responses, manage treatment plans, and make referrals for specialized care.
• Participate in case conferences, order supplies, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Respond to emergencies, recognize overdose signs, and manage clinical procedures (e.g., Mantoux tests).

Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Knowledge of infection control, patient care compliance, and regulations.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and BLS certifications.

Qualifications

Preferred: 2+ years of experience with addiction or mental health disorders and psychopharmacology.

• Team participation in case reviews and ongoing training.
