About the role
The Nurse Intern performs basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, maintaining flexibility for rapidly changing assignments. This role involves carrying out all tasks assigned by the registered nurse with minimal continuous supervision, adhering to nursing care standards, and promoting teamwork among co-workers.
Responsibilities

- Carry out all assignments given by the registered nurse with minimal supervision.
- Be accountable for all patient care provided during a shift.
- Adhere to all standards of nursing care and promote teamwork among co-workers.
Requirements
- Actively enrolled in a nursing program (ADN or BSN).
- Successful completion of a medical-surgical nursing course and clinical.
- Upon graduation, must pass the NCLEX within 90 days.
- Maximum length of time in this role is 10 months.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- No prior experience required.
Pay
Estimated pay range for this position is $23.50 per hour, depending on shift.
