About the role
We are seeking a nursing student for a patient care assistant role, open to day and night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the patient care team to provide direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
- Document patient care and monitor patient conditions, communicating updates to supervising RNs.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
- Coordinate care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
- Provide education to patients and families tailored to their needs, culture, and circumstances.
- Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
Qualifications and Skills
- Enrollment in a nursing program at an accredited university or college.
- Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and maintain professional relationships.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
