Nurse Extern - Surgical Intensive Care Unit

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), vital signs, mobility, comfort, and hygiene
• Perform basic nursing procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection
• Accurately document care and communicate updates to the team
• Educate patients and families about care plans and recovery
• Maintain a safe, organized environment following infection control protocols
• Engage in learning opportunities and collaborate with supervisors to develop career skills

Qualifications & Skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (obtained within 30 days of employment)
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
• No prior experience required
