About the Role
The Nurse Extern PRN provides high-quality, patient-centered care by supporting nursing functions under RN supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor vital signs
- Perform basic procedures such as wound care and specimen collection
- Document care provided
- Educate patients and families
- Maintain a safe environment
- Participate in ongoing learning and growth
Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree)
- At least 6 months remaining before graduation
- Completed Fundamentals of Nursing course
- BLS certification within 30 days of employment
