Nurse Extern PRN

Role Overview: As a Nurse Extern, you will be an integral part of the nursing team, gaining hands-on experience in patient care and supporting registered nurses. Your duties include assisting with ADLs, vital sign checks, mobility support, wound and catheter care, specimen collection, and documenting care accurately. You will communicate updates to the team, help patients and families understand care plans, and maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection prevention protocols. The role promotes professional growth through learning opportunities, idea sharing, and collaboration with supervisors or preceptors. Qualifications & Skills: Basic Cardiac Life Support (within 30 days), Associate or Bachelor’s Degree, or relevant certification. No prior experience required. The role emphasizes compassionate, safe, and efficient patient care, along with strong communication and organizational skills. Travel is not required.
