Nurse Extern PRN

About the Role

As a Nurse Extern, you will be an integral part of the nursing team, gaining hands-on experience in patient care and supporting registered nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Perform vital sign checks
• Provide mobility support
• Assist with wound and catheter care
• Collect specimens
• Document care accurately
• Communicate updates to the nursing team
• Help patients and families understand care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection prevention protocols
• Participate in learning opportunities and collaborate with supervisors or preceptors

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (within 30 days of hire)
• Enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree nursing program, or relevant certification
• No prior experience required
• Compassionate, safe, and efficient approach to patient care
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Travel is not required.
