About the Role

The Nursing Extern – PRN Rehab provides high-quality, patient-centered care by assisting with basic nursing functions and activities of daily living under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to patients
• Communicate pertinent information to the healthcare team
• Document patient data accurately
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Maintain a safe, organized environment

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program
• High school diploma or GED
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Nonviolent crisis intervention certification (within 30 days of employment)

Skills

• Knowledge of patient care principles
• Effective communication skills
• Attention to safety protocols
• Ability to perform delegated procedures upon competency
