About the Role
The Nurse Extern provides hands-on patient care support within a nursing team, helping with activities of daily living, vital signs, wound care, specimen collection, and patient education.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and comfort to ensure safety and well-being.
- Perform basic nursing procedures and document care accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Maintain infection control standards and organize patient care areas.
- Engage in learning opportunities to develop nursing skills and contribute to care improvements.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
