The Nurse Extern supports the nursing team by providing essential patient care, assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and performing basic nursing procedures. Responsibilities

• Help with patient hygiene and mobility
• Assist with wound and catheter care
• Collect specimens
• Monitor and document vital signs
• Provide patient and family education
• Support infection control and environment safety
• Collaborate with supervisors to enhance skills and contribute to care improvements

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program
• NC (CNA) certification
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
