Nurse Extern - Medical Surgical PRN

Role Overview: The Nurse Extern collaborates with the nursing team to deliver safe, compassionate patient care while gaining hands-on experience in various nursing responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), monitor vital signs, support patient mobility, perform basic procedures (e.g., wound care, specimen collection), document care accurately, communicate with team members, educate patients and families, and maintain a clean and safe environment. Professional Development: Engage in learning opportunities, contribute ideas for care improvement, and partner with supervisors or preceptors to develop skills and confidence for future nursing roles. Qualifications & Skills Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment. Strong communication, organizational, and compassionate patient interaction skills.
