Facility Description Children’s Hospital of Michigan is an international leader in pediatric and adolescent medicine. Surgical services include general, thoracic, reconstructive and cardiovascular. Imaging technology designed specifically for children provides advanced diagnostic services including Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and MRI. The Children’s Hospital of Michigan Emergency Department is a verified Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and dedicated pediatric burn center. Experts in pediatric critical care, rehabilitation, and neonatal and perinatal medicine provide care for thousands of children every year at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Children’s Hospital of Michigan - Troy and six ambulatory sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential assistance and comfort to patients.
- Ensure patients receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey.
- Perform technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities.
- Work under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based on patient needs and NE II skills.
- Report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse.
- Assist with providing patient care such as ADLS, vitals, ambulation, and other duties within the scope of patient care tech or equivalent.
- Receive instruction and mentorship from an assigned RN in the clinical area, with ongoing feedback.
Qualifications
Applicants can apply starting 6 months before graduation from an accredited school of nursing and must pass all senior courses to remain in the program.
