Responsibilities
- Affords patient care under RN/LPN direction.
- Reports to job as scheduled or notifies supervisor of absence.
- Performs delegated tasks promptly.
- Adheres to all safety protocols and promotes patient safety.
- Maintains a safe environment.
- Carries out kitchen, transport, and supply duties as directed.
- Monitors and reports pertinent information to the nurse; documents on patient record.
- Completes annual competency assessments and maintains job knowledge.
- Participates in shift report and team conferences.
- Knows procedures for fire or disaster situations.
- Applies knowledge of growth, development, and aging processes in patient care.
- Displays a caring attitude and effective communication with patients and families.
- Utilizes interpersonal techniques to foster a productive work environment.
- Seeks assistance as needed and accepts reassignment.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with hospital standards of conduct and policies.
- Understands and applies unit-specific equipment/procedures and performance improvement activities.
