Nurse Extern

About the role

The Nurse Extern provides basic nursing skills and care within the patient and family centered care model. Nursing skills include assisting with personal care, phlebotomy, EKG, and basic nursing skills to facilitate quality service outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assists with personal care
• Performs phlebotomy
• Conducts EKGs
• Provides basic nursing care

Requirements

• Enrollment in a BSN program and completion of at least the third year of the program or enrollment in an Associate Nursing program with completion of at least one year of the nursing curriculum
• One-year clinical experience as a Nursing Assistant in a healthcare setting is preferred

Qualifications

• BLS through AHA or Red Cross
