Responsibilities
- Perform full journey-level duties as a technical program advisor and recognized authority in areas of extreme sensitivity and complexity of care for CCLD.
- Travel to facilities statewide to conduct clinical assessments, referrals for enhanced civil penalties, and evaluate resident level of care.
- Perform medical record reviews and develop guidelines for field offices inspecting licensed facilities.
- Develop, plan, organize, coordinate, implement, and evaluate policy and clinical activities related to licensing requirements and medical care in licensed facilities.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license; submit a copy of your RN license and BreEZe verification.
- Background investigation and fingerprinting/Department of Justice/FBI criminal record clearance required prior to hire.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship by the start date.
- Per Government Code Section 19990, no CDSS employee may engage in employment or activities incompatible with their duties. Selected candidates must disclose any potential conflicts prior to appointment.

- If meeting minimum qualifications via education, unofficial transcripts must be included for verification (official transcripts may be required if selected).
- Out-of-state candidates may interview but must provide proof of California residency prior to appointment.
Pay
$7,430.00 - $9,757.00 per month. New state candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or alternate range minimum, if applicable.
Schedule
Full-time, 12-month limited-term position with hybrid telework.
