Nurse Educator (RN)

About the role

The Nurse Educator at Farmstead Living is responsible for educating, training, evaluating, and coaching new and existing Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and caregivers in resident care, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Be a part of the onboarding team at Farmstead Living, including new hire orientation.
• Provide classroom and hands-on training to CNAs and Caregivers.
• Sign off on adequately performed cares, tasks, and competencies.
• Educate staff on Assisted Living procedures and policies.
• Assure that medication administration procedures are followed properly and discuss any needed corrections, errors, or training opportunities with staff.
• Provides input and/or performs annual evaluations for caregiver staff.

Qualifications

• Must be registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota as an RN.
• Experience in an Assisted Living community is preferred, but not required.
• Experience as a trainer or clinical educator is preferred, but not required.
• Able to work well with care staff, other nurses, residents, and families.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Patient, positive, and supportive leader.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with flexible hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to accommodate trainee schedules.
