About the role

The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for designing, teaching, and evaluating educational programs for all levels of professional, technical, and ancillary staff in a variety of critical care areas and hospital departments consistent with the hospital’s mission, vision, philosophy, and core values. Programs include the orientation of new employees, in-service education relevant to the hospital environment, and continuing education offerings which are expected to maintain and/or improve competency and work performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, teach, and evaluate educational programs for professional, technical, and ancillary staff.
  • Assess data relevant to the learner’s progress and interpret appropriate information to develop group and individual learning plans.
  • Foster the clinical development of ancillary staff by assessing educational needs and serving as a resource/coach.
  • Assist in the onboarding, orientation, and clinical practice evaluation of ancillary staff.
  • Participate in the Nurse Residency Program.
  • Assist in other departments as clinically requested by nursing leadership.

Requirements

  • MSN or MSN—Nursing Education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty required.
  • Experience in Education or Staff Development required.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
  • Certification in Nursing Professional Development preferred.
  • Completion of clinical experience in an NLN accredited school preferred.
  • Advanced certifications preferred.

Qualifications

  • Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement.
  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification.

Skills

Demonstrated teaching ability is required for the position.

Pay

$115,657.80 - $150,355.14 per year

Schedule

Full-time: 36 Hours Per Week
Three 12-Hour Shifts
