About the role
The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for designing, teaching, and evaluating educational programs for all levels of professional, technical, and ancillary staff in a variety of critical care areas and hospital departments consistent with the hospital’s mission, vision, philosophy, and core values. Programs include the orientation of new employees, in-service education relevant to the hospital environment, and continuing education offerings which are expected to maintain and/or improve competency and work performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, teach, and evaluate educational programs for professional, technical, and ancillary staff.
- Assess data relevant to the learner’s progress and interpret appropriate information to develop group and individual learning plans.
- Foster the clinical development of ancillary staff by assessing educational needs and serving as a resource/coach.
- Assist in the onboarding, orientation, and clinical practice evaluation of ancillary staff.
- Participate in the Nurse Residency Program.
- Assist in other departments as clinically requested by nursing leadership.
Requirements
- MSN or MSN—Nursing Education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty required.
- Experience in Education or Staff Development required.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
- Certification in Nursing Professional Development preferred.
- Completion of clinical experience in an NLN accredited school preferred.
- Advanced certifications preferred.
Qualifications
- Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement.
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification.
Skills
Demonstrated teaching ability is required for the position.

$115,657.80 - $150,355.14 per year
Schedule
Full-time: 36 Hours Per Week
Three 12-Hour Shifts
