About the Role
Lead unit-based education, support staff development, and promote high-quality, patient-centered care in a critical care setting. Contribute to the Magnet® journey and help build a professional practice environment where nurses are empowered and equipped to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical and educational resource for critical care teams.
- Support orientation and validate competencies for nursing staff.
- Facilitate ongoing learning and professional development.
- Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to enhance evidence-based practice, quality outcomes, and patient safety.
- Provide direct patient care as needed.
Requirements
- Active Georgia RN license.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, with at least 3 years in Critical Care (Cardiac preferred).
- Professional certification in a clinical or education specialty (e.g., NPD-BC).
- Membership in professional nursing organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- NPD-BC certification.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Previous experience as a nurse educator or in staff development.
