About the role

The Diabetes Nurse Educator at WK Medical Center will provide diabetes self-management education to patients with diabetes. Responsibilities include assessment of patients, development of individual education plans, setting goals and objectives, creating a self-management support plan, educating clinical professionals, ensuring patient satisfaction, quality care, and compliance with regulatory agency standards.

Requirements

• A current RN license in the state of Louisiana
• Prior experience as a Certified Diabetes Educator is preferred

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of diabetes self-management education programs
