Requirements

  • Master’s degree (Nursing preferred)
  • 2 years of clinical experience or clinical instruction experience required
  • Preop and Postop experience required
  • Experience providing education, CEUs, and onboarding support for OR and Endo staff for ambulatory
  • Supporting all four ASCs

Qualifications

The Nursing Educator position in the Operating Room is responsible for providing personalized education by designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating classroom and clinical instruction to support the orientation, ongoing educational needs, and student/resident experiences in the Operating Room.

The Perioperative Educator provides support, education, guidance, direction and assistance to the patient care team in order to attain/maintain quality and safe care to patients in designated clinical areas.

The educator provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of personalized nursing care with a focus on positive patient care outcomes and the patient’s involvement in his/her own plan of care.

Patients and their families will experience the benefits of patient focused care, through the integrated skills of all care team members.
