About the Role

Brigham and Women's Hospital, a founding member of Mass General Brigham and a world-renowned academic medical center, is seeking an experienced and visionary Nurse Director of Labor & Delivery and Antenatal Services to lead one of the country's most respected women's health programs. As Nurse Director, you will provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for Labor & Delivery and Antenatal services while partnering with multidisciplinary leaders to deliver outstanding outcomes for patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Labor & Delivery and Antenatal nursing services.
  • Lead and mentor nurse managers, clinical leaders, and frontline nursing staff.
  • Promote a culture of patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize maternal and newborn care.
  • Drive operational excellence, workforce engagement, and nursing professional development.
  • Support departmental strategic planning, budget management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advance initiatives focused on innovation, patient experience, and clinical outcomes.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and relationship-based care throughout the department.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Progressive nursing leadership experience in Labor & Delivery, Women's Health, or Maternal-Newborn Services.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex clinical operations within an academic or tertiary care environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, financial, and operational management skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and exceptional patient care.
