Nurse Consultant
About the role
This temporary position is located in Rocky Mount - Nash County. There are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
Responsibilities
- Provide patient and family education on disease processes, treatment, and self-care.
- Provide feedback and guidance/counsel to nursing staff on care rendered to patients.
- Teach nursing staff and other employees as appropriate through orientation and on-the-job training.
- Work in partnership with facilities/supervisory and management staff and outside organizations in planning, scheduling, and providing service.
- Communicate information to patients, families, and staff in a concise and descriptive manner verbally and in writing.
- Engage in public speaking.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
- One year of experience in the area of specialization.
