Responsibilities

• Performing patient assessments via phone and in person, utilizing nursing skills to develop care plans and implement interventions.
• Managing routine nursing duties such as medication administration, phlebotomy, vital signs measurement, and complex procedures like conscious sedation and wound care.
• Providing patient education, ensuring understanding and participation in their care, and coordinating with healthcare teams and external agencies.
• Triaging and prioritizing telephone calls, managing urgent situations per protocols, and documenting all assessments and interventions clearly and accurately.
• Maintaining a safe, compliant work environment and supervising medical equipment and clinical practices.
• Serving as a resource for staff and physicians, problem-solving, delegating tasks, and recommending policy improvements.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and licensure as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Current BLS certification.
• Recent clinical experience within the past five years or graduation within the past two years (with approval if less than six months experience).
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and 1-2 years of ambulatory or acute care experience.
