Nurse Clinician - BCVI

About the role

The Nurse Clinician works in a multidisciplinary setting requiring exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to assess and manage patient care independently. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, performing comprehensive patient assessments, administering medications, triaging calls, and coordinating care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Provide pre-attending care and perform comprehensive assessments.
• Independently perform routine nursing duties and complex procedures.
• Interpret test results and document interventions.
• Communicate with other departments and coordinate patient care.
• Triage and prioritize incoming calls.
• Manage urgent/emergent medical situations.
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians.
• Initiate and coordinate patient education.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing
• State Licensed Registered Nurse
• Certification in Basic CPR
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience
