Nurse Case Manager - Fredericksburg, VA

About the role

The Field Nurse Case Manager role at Paradigm is a field/home-based position covering Fredericksburg and surrounding communities. The role involves assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the medical needs of work-related injuries. This position works closely with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees to monitor the progress of the injured worker and report results back to the employer and insurance carriers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate the medical needs of work-related injuries
• Work closely with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees
• Monitor the progress of the injured worker and report results back to the employer and insurance carriers
• Manage catastrophic cases as required

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in VA or DC (within 30 days of start date)
• Experience in case management of workers comp cases, preferred
• Willingness to learn and take catastrophic cases
• Recommended certifications (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC) preferred (within two years of the date of hire)

• Communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
• Ability to operate autonomously with minimal oversight
• Skilled at patient education
• Valid Driver’s License, and good driving history
