Nurse Assistant - Oncology - Full Time(36Hrs)/Midnights - Macomb

About the role

Under the direction and supervision of the responsible Registered Nurse (RN), you will perform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient. You will provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care, respond to emergent situations according to established procedures, and participate in your own continuing education. This role follows the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Patient Assistant Technician (PAT)), or currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course, or foreign-trained and licensed RN who has relocated to the United States and does not hold a Michigan RN license, or completion of a Medical Assistant program (with or without experience), or at least one (1) year of previous experience in an NA, PCT, PAT, or similar role.
• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Schedule

Full-time, 36 hours per week. Midnight shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM.
