Full-time, benefits-eligible position with a weekly schedule of 35.1 hours.
Schedule
- Night shift: 19:30–07:30
- 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
Pay
Pay range: $19.80 – $29.70 per hour.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide I course
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Responsibilities
- Implements the nursing process by delivering direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Performs special procedures correctly under RN supervision
- Creates and maintains a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, co-workers, and the facility
- Ensures complete, accurate, and timely communication of patient information
- Communicates effectively and professionally with the healthcare team, patients, and family members
- Takes personal responsibility for performance, professional growth, and development
- Provides age- and developmentally-appropriate care in accordance with established guidelines
- Assists nursing staff with treatments and follows physician/nursing orders to meet age-specific care standards
Skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively with frequent workload changes and competing demands
- Basic computer proficiency
Work Environment
- Regular contact with patients, family members, visitors, co-workers, and medical staff under varied circumstances
- Regular exposure to blood-borne pathogens, infectious and contagious diseases
- Subject to multiple interruptions
- Occasional exposure to radiation hazards and cleaning agents/chemicals
- Occasionally requires irregular hours
- Use of personal protective equipment required
