Nurse Assistant - Float Pool - PRN - Day Shift

Department: Float Pool

Schedule

• PRN, 12-hour Day Shift, 7:00am–7:30pm

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area
• Greets patients, visitors, and new admissions
• Answers general inquiries and schedules patients for appointments
• Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls
• Performs general clerical duties including filing, email correspondence, and mail distribution
• Creates various reports and documents as assigned
• Helps patients/residents with basic technology and social media
• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members about patient care
• Performs unit safety checks
• Assists with meeting patient needs and escalates as appropriate
• May assist with meals, pass and collect trays, pass out activities, and transport patients/residents through facility
• May assist with stocking supplies and keeping unit and patient rooms clean and orderly
• May maintain staff schedules and timekeeping as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable
• Preferred use of administrative skills in a hospital setting
