About the Role

Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides nursing care to non-acutely ill patients, and helps maintain a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the patients and/or nursing unit.

Schedule

Shift 1 (Days with weekend and holiday rotation) | 7:00 AM – 7:15 PM

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Provide nursing care to non-acutely ill patients
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
• Support other hospital staff in direct patient care
• Conserve supplies, equipment, and time in a cost-effective manner

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• BLS certification within six (6) months of hire/transfer
• No prior experience required
• Sufficient mental and physical health to handle strenuous activity, bending, lifting, and walking
• Desire and skill to meet the needs of patients in an acute care setting
• Continuous awareness of safety measures in patient care
• Computer literacy and ability to read with comprehension
• Ability to cope with stress and handle multiple priorities
