About the role

As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and well-being. Working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will assist with essential patient care tasks and actively contribute to a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performing routine tasks such as measuring and recording vital signs, collecting and labeling specimens including blood draws, and performing venipuncture and chemsticks.
  • Aiding with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as directed by the RN.
  • Providing compassionate, hands-on personal care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility, and comfort.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to support seamless care delivery.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (Patient Care Technician (PCT), Patient Assistant Technician (PAT)).
  • Enrollment in a nursing program with completed Fundamentals of Nursing.
  • Foreign trained and licensed RN who has relocated to the United States and does not hold a Michigan RN license.
  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) preferred.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Tech, or Patient Assistant Tech, or similar job role.

Skills

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform patient care tasks.

Schedule

Full-Time (36 Hours/Week), Every other weekend and holiday rotation. Shift: Day Shift 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM.
