Responsibilities
- Perform parts of client physicals as directed by the Physician.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and dispensing operations.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate data in patient computer files.
- Coordinate patient care with the PCP (Primary Care Physician) or other physicians.
- Consult with counselors and supervisors regarding individual patient medical/medication needs.
- Conduct health and physical examinations at intake and annually thereafter.
- Participate in case planning and consultations with relevant parties as needed.
Requirements
- A current DEA Prescription license.
- To be a Nurse Practitioner licensed in accordance with the laws in the State of employment.
- To maintain continuing education credits as required by the appropriate licensing board.
- Experience or knowledge in the field of drug abuse is recommended.
- CPR, First Aid, and BLS certifications are required.
