Deliver anesthesia and perioperative care to patients of all ages under anesthesiologist supervision, working collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preoperative assessments
- Develop anesthesia care plans
- Initiate and maintain anesthesia
- Document patient records
- Complete postoperative evaluations
- Support perioperative team members
- Participate in ongoing projects
- Adhere to institutional policies
- Maintain licensure, certifications, and PPE requirements
- Prepare patients and provide perioperative anesthesia care
- Work flexibly in various anesthetizing locations
- Fulfill weekend and call obligations
Requirements
- Master's degree in nurse anesthesia from an accredited program
- Current or obtainable Michigan RN license
- Certification as a nurse anesthetist
- ACLS certification
- At least five years of adult ICU nursing experience
- Two years of nurse anesthesia experience within an Anesthesia Care Team model
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Must adhere to safety and PPE protocols
- Role involves radiation exposure
- Background screening and drug testing required
