About the role
The Nurse Aide will assist in providing basic patient care activities for which they have been prepared as well as non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Monitor patient vital signs as directed
- Provide assistance with hygiene and grooming
- Ensure patient safety and comfort
- Follow infection control protocols
- Communicate with healthcare team regarding patient status
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Passing score on a state-approved competency assessment
Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing
Skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Attention to detail
