About the role

Nurse Aide position available on the Neurology Unit at St. Mary's Medical Center. Responsibilities include assisting with basic patient care activities and providing non-professional services necessary for the personal needs and comfort of patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
• Help with meals and nutrition
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes to healthcare providers
• Ensure patients are comfortable and safe
• Perform light cleaning and sanitation tasks

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Passing score on a state-administered competency exam

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina for lifting and moving patients

Skills

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
• Understanding of patient rights and confidentiality
