Nurse Aide in Training
About the role
The work involves clinical training and competencies to prepare an incumbent to appropriately care for residents of residential health care facilities. An incumbent may perform direct patient care tasks under the direct supervision of the clinical supervisor during the training program after receiving sufficient training. Appointments to this class are temporary for a period up to four months for the purposes of completing required training. Training is carried out under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Qualifications
Nurse Aide Trainees must test within 10 days of successful program completion. Upon successful completion of the training, if all certification requirements are met, individuals may be eligible for initial appointment as a Nurse Aide.
