NUCLEAR SECURITY OFFICER

About the Role
The selected candidate will provide physical security to safeguard facilities, personnel, and property. Responsibilities include detecting and correcting security violations, enforcing company rules and regulations associated with Industrial and Nuclear Security, and writing incident reports as necessary. The role involves providing access controls to facilities and sensitive areas aboard naval nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines, performing security and safety patrol duties, and providing emergency response support to all areas of the facility, waterfront, and ships.
Requirements
- Ability to run, kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb stairs and incline/vertical ladders
- Pass a respirator fit test
- Lift and carry 40 lbs
- Work indoors/outdoors year-round in all weather conditions, at extreme heights, or in small confined spaces
- Work assigned shift as production needs, with flexibility to work a rotating schedule
- Successfully complete written and practical radiological and nuclear security training
- Qualify with weapons (handgun and shotgun)
- Obtain a security clearance within a prescribed timeframe
- Understand written instructions and have good communication skills (verbal and written)
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Prior Law Enforcement, Security, or Military Experience preferred

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this role is $50,564.80 to $63,356.80. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
