Overview:

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Scheduler III schedules and coordinates project activities (including dates, timelines, and sequencing) for the Nuclear and Engineering Projects organizations. This role performs schedule maintenance across Passport and Primavera systems and supports project managers in developing and updating schedules for online, outage, and lifecycle projects, ensuring delivery of timely, accurate, and comprehensive schedules for assigned projects. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage capital project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and online work as assigned
  • Provide oversight of project teams responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and control to ensure work is performed safely, with quality, on schedule, and within budget
  • Oversee all phases of project implementation, including:
    • Budget development and cost tracking against plan
    • Work package preparation
    • Parts and materials procurement
    • ALARA planning
    • Nuclear and industrial safety compliance
    • Clearance order preparation
    • Work prioritization and resource loading
    • Risk management
    • Work execution, including resolution of schedule delays and conflicts
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking cost versus budget for assigned projects
  • Interface regularly with clients, engineers, cross-functional teams, and management to ensure progress, alignment, and focus
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts; coordinate activities with vendors
  • Develop and maintain project schedules aligned with project size and complexity to support risk management, progress tracking, accountability, and critical path and float management
  • Prepare and deliver clear written and verbal communications to stakeholders, including senior management
  • Develop and maintain long-range planning strategies for assigned projects
  • Support effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university; or
  • Associate degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university and 2 years of experience in a technical field; or
  • High school diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in a technical field
  • Commercial nuclear power plant experience required
  • Basic core values related to human performance and cost-effective work execution

Pay range: $78.81 – $111.22
