About the role

NextEra Energy Nuclear is seeking a dynamic Nuclear Maintenance/Technical Training Instructor Sr to lead cutting-edge nuclear training programs at our Duane Arnold Energy Center in Palo, Iowa, with corporate support from our Jupiter, FL headquarters. You will oversee world-class maintenance training that impacts our entire nuclear fleet, delivering instruction both on-site and remotely using advanced technology. Responsibilities

  • Develops, delivers, and improves assigned training courses, supporting materials, and instructor/student evaluations using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
  • Revises instructional materials to reflect changes in plant design, current plant practices, regulations, and/or operating philosophies.
  • Provides direction and coaches less-experienced instructors.
  • Serves as the training program lead to ensure all elements of assigned instruction comply with company standards, NRC regulations, INPO accreditation criteria, and other codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Grad / GED.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience.
  • 7+ years of nuclear experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering.
  • Certified Nuclear Training Instructor (Classroom).
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Math, Physical Sciences specialty, Engineering) or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 8+ years of related industry or nuclear training experience.
