About the role

The successful candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation. They will prepare and administer radioactive chemical compounds known as radiopharmaceuticals, demonstrate knowledge in IV placement to avoid extravasations, process and enhance images, and provide images, data analysis, and patient information to physicians for diagnostic interpretation. Excellent patient care and customer service are essential.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Registered Technologist (RT(N)) from ARRT/NMTCB
  • Graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine Program
  • At least two years of modality-specific experience
  • Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Skills

  • Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets
  • Flexible to rotate between different modalities
