Nuclear Medicine Technologist

About the role

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing PET/CT and nuclear medicine procedures, maintaining departmental standards in accordance with policies and procedures, and staying current with new techniques and procedures. This position works under limited supervision, independently performing PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine testing. Work situations require a service-oriented individual, independent judgment, initiative, ingenuity, and strict adherence to radiation safety management guidelines. Internal contacts are primarily with patient care staff; external contacts include patients, families, physicians, and peers.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree in science or healthcare field preferred
• CMNT (NMTCB), ARRT (N), or equivalent certification, or registry-eligible with exam taken within one year of employment
• Certified with the State of Washington Department of Health
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) preferred
• Previous knowledge of and/or experience in computerized tomography desirable

Pay

The pay scale is $38.38 - $55.23 USD per hour. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale aligned with the applicant’s years of experience.
