About the role
Nuclear Medicine Technologist responsible for assisting with specialized imaging procedures in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform and ensure accuracy of nuclear medicine tests and procedures.
- Calibrate equipment and conduct quality control on gamma cameras.
- Explain procedures to patients, ensure comfort, and obtain proper identification.
- Handle radiopharmaceuticals according to safety protocols.
- Support the nuclear physician during imaging procedures.
- Adhere to hospital, state, and federal regulations.
- Complete special assignments and ensure test validity before releasing results.
Qualifications & Skills
- Required:
- Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Current NJ State license
- ARRT and/or NMTCB certification
- BLS certification
- Preferred:
- Two years hospital experience
- NMTCB Fusion or ARRT R certification
- CT certification
