About the role

Nuclear Medicine Technologist responsible for assisting with specialized imaging procedures in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and ensure accuracy of nuclear medicine tests and procedures.
  • Calibrate equipment and conduct quality control on gamma cameras.
  • Explain procedures to patients, ensure comfort, and obtain proper identification.
  • Handle radiopharmaceuticals according to safety protocols.
  • Support the nuclear physician during imaging procedures.
  • Adhere to hospital, state, and federal regulations.
  • Complete special assignments and ensure test validity before releasing results.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Required:
    • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
    • Current NJ State license
    • ARRT and/or NMTCB certification
    • BLS certification
  • Preferred:
    • Two years hospital experience
    • NMTCB Fusion or ARRT R certification
    • CT certification
