Nuclear Medicine Technologist

About the role

Assist nuclear physicians with special imaging procedures in a hospital setting. Ensure accurate test performance, equipment calibration, and patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging tests accurately and efficiently
• Calibrate and maintain imaging equipment
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
• Follow regulatory standards and complete assignments promptly
• Manage radio-pharmaceuticals according to safety protocols
• Adhere to departmental and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with patients
• Execute imaging procedures with precision

Requirements

• Graduate degree from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Current New Jersey license in Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Certification from ARRT or NMTCB
• BLS certification

Qualifications

• Preferred: two years of experience in a hospital environment
• Preferred: additional certifications such as NMTCB Fusion or ARRT (R, CT)
