Nuclear Med Technologist II

Job Summary

You will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides. You will perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, ensuring appropriate patient care and recognizing conditions essential for successful procedures. You will also administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-vitro/in-vivo studies as outlined in nuclear medicine procedure manuals
• Makes determinations of the validity of the data collected before submission for interpretation
• Mentor new employees and students on the proper use of camera/computer systems, study procedures
• Absorb and mentor qualified staff on proper radio/pharmacy procedures
• Independently perform all functions regarding the safe and compliant operation of the radiopharmacy and associated documentation
• Prepare and present 2 staff in-services per year on a topical subject

Requirements

• Three (3) years of experience in Nuclear Medicine
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) OR Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology (RTN)
• Medical Radigrapher: TX (MRAD)
• CPR-BLS (W/ American Heart Association)

Preferred

• Associates Degree

Pay Range

$39.08 - $58.14 /hour
