About the role
This position involves the preparation and administration of radioactive materials for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, as well as scanning patients to obtain diagnostic images.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing multiple types of gamma cameras, utilizing proper injection techniques while injecting radioisotopes.
- Administer IV puncture and inject radiopharmaceuticals via IV when indicated.
- Prepare exam room, communicate with the patient, obtain informed consent when necessary, and request an accurate clinical history as necessary for the exam.
- Receive patients, explain the method of examination, and position the patient.
- Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School.
- Minimum of one (1) year minimum related experience and/or training.
- Current ARRT (R) (NM) or NMTCB as CNMT registry.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
- Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking skills.
Skills
- Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.

Pay
The hourly range for this position is $38.20 - $59.58, with actual hourly rates dependent upon experience.
Schedule
Full-time (40 hours), 10 hour shifts, 630-1700 & 730-1800; no call, no weekends/holidays.
