About the role

The Nuclear Med Tech II position at St. John’s Regional Medical Center involves performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including bone scans, PET scans, SPECT scans, and thyroid uptake studies. Key responsibilities include preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating and maintaining nuclear medicine imaging equipment, collaborating with physicians, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and continuing education activities.

Requirements

• More than one (1) year previous experience as a nuclear medicine technician.
• Current on continuing education units required by the licensing boards.
• Special training in Nuclear Medicine.
• California Nuclear Medicine Technician certification (CT NMT).
• Current AHA CPR card (CT CPR BLS).

Qualifications

• Experience with complex imaging systems such as CT and hybrid modalities, including troubleshooting and quality assurance.

• Proficiency with nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Pay

The posted compensation range is $69.58 - $81.86 /hour, reflecting the lowest and highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Schedule

Part-time, 48 hours per week, Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm), Day shift, Non-remote.
