Pac's Position Function and Duties
- Ensures all computed and digital images are properly archived on Synpase Scan documents in a timely manner
- Pushes images to other Hospitals
- Burns CD's and enters tech notes into each completed exam
- Performs Nuclear Exams
- Reviews Patient history and Physicians orders
- Edits patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure patients understanding and cooperation
- Orders, prepares, administers, stores, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and applicable regulations/standards
- Maintains patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate
- Prepares equipment and supplies and selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters
- Monitors safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment
- Troubleshoots, resolves, or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary
- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure
- Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results
- Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues including repositioning patient and repeating procedure
- Ensures timely reporting of exams
- Charges exams correctly
- Prints schedules and checks patient orders
- Confirms patient identity with two identifiers

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimal physical effort required with occasional light lifting to a maximum of 25 pounds; stoops; and pick, pinch, type, or otherwise work primarily with fingers
- Ability to effectively manage considerable mental stress
- Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and convey information in a clear, concise and accurate manner
- Familiarity with computer and other business machines
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist Program
- Experience: 5 Years experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Job License and Certification: Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or certified as a Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- BLS through the American Heart Association
- Must be registered with the New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
