Nuclear Intern - Mechanical/Electrical Engineering North Anna

About the role

North Anna Power Station (Nuclear) located in Mineral, VA is looking for a Mechanical Engineering intern to work in its Component Engineering department for the summer of 2027.

Responsibilities

• Development of technical documents to evaluate equipment failures and other plant conditions.
• Evaluation of equipment performance trends including field walkdowns.
• Development of minor design changes to support station reliability improvements.
• Support development of major design changes to support long-term station reliability improvements.
• Support station departments with technical input on a variety of equipment-related concerns.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.
• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills.

No testing required.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an ABET accredited Engineering program (Mechanical preferred) at a four-year college or university.
• Must have an anticipated graduation date of December 2028 or later.
• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above.

Pay

Hourly rate: $23.00 - $29.00.
