Nuclear Command, Control, Communications (NC3) SME

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site NC3 SME and primary Government point of contact for NC3 requirements
• Advises on NC2 authorities, C2 relationships, and NC3 operating principles
• Provides expertise on waveforms, technologies, and enterprise systems associated with NC3
• Analyzes, reviews, and responds to technical questions, challenges, and concerns from the Government
• Affords assistance to the Government in answering technical and operational inquiries from Congressional staff, OSD, interagency partners, and industry
• Collaborates with stakeholders to assess NC3 capability gaps and provides technical recommendations
• Presents and delivers briefings, reports, and documentation to support AF NC3 decision-making

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: Citizenship required, TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility, 25 years of experience in respective technical/professional discipline, 15 years of DoD experience
• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, Master's degree preferred
• Years of Experience: 25 years of experience in respective technical/professional discipline, 20 years of experience in respective technical/professional discipline, 12 years of DoD experience preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with waveform technologies and platform/system IT principles, understanding and assessing the complexity of interconnected systems, planning, directing, and managing complex and extended projects, knowledge of Air Staff, JS, and OSD organization and documentation processes, knowledge of how USAF, USSF, and USN NC3 capabilities, platforms, and technologies interact, ability to craft creative technical solutions, ability to translate NC3 strategy into achievable technical solutions, experience working in complex environments with multiple points of contact, experience generating briefings and decision papers
